We only had 3 nights at this beautiful house, but we used the most of it and had a great time. We rented the pontoon boat and went swimming in the river. The fire pit at night was awesome too. The kitchen was well equipt and all linens were well stocked. All the beds were comfortable and we all had more space than needed. I would highly recomment and we plan on comming back for another trip. Patty Leslie
Myself and 10 of my friends stayed at this wonderful property last weekend for my best friends bachelorette party. The house was HUGE and everything was just perfect. Being able to relax and float on the river was exactly what our group needed. To be able to wake up the beautiful view every morning was truly a blessing. I would highly recommend staying here. The house is close to anything you need as well as close to downtown. The owners of the house were so helpful through the entire process. I would love to stay here again in the future.
It was an absolute pleasure to stay here. When we arrived the owner was just finishing up mowing the yard. He had the kayaks out ready to go. He was more than helpful. House was clean and ready to live in. Can't say enough about the river , the kids had an absolute blast kayaking, paddle boarding and swimming on their own secluded little beach. Would recommend to anyone plenty of room and things to do. The sunsets from the dock are a picture perfect setting. On a side note great and friendly neighbors too
Our family is separated by many miles. Some of us live in Wisconsin, some in Illinois, and some in Florida. Chattanooga seemed like the perfect place for us to all get together, and it was. This house is perfect for a large group. With all the bedrooms we were able to separate out by family unit. We were able to share meals in the large dining areas, the adults ate at the large table and the children shared the smaller round table. We were able to make our own meals using the kitchen and outdoor gas grill. The children were able to create and perform a talent show, using one of the many rooms to practice and the great room to perform. The outdoor property is also amazing. There were life vests and floatiies for use In the river. I think that someone was jumping the water every day of our stay. The current was a little vast a couple times in the afternoon, but most of the time it was just perfect for playing in the river. The firepit was great for roasting marshmallows. The deck was a great place to watch the day begin, and the fog rise off the mountains. We even saw bats on our last couple nights there. The location is amazing. It is so close to downtown Chattanooga that we could easily find things to do if we wanted a day out. It is also close to Ruby Falls and Lookout Mountain. It was so nice to be able to reconnect with family that we do not see very often, and the river house was the perfect place to do it.
We absolutely loved this house. We had a group of 14 and there was plenty of room for all of us. The house is right on the Tennessee River and offers a lot of peace and quiet. It is close enough to downtown though so you have everything you need. Aaron and Vincent were great. They were there within minutes when we had a problem and then checked in on us through messages throughout the week to make sure everything was going well. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone!! P.S. The boat was awesome!
This is an awesome place to take a large group! We slept 16 very comfortably. There was so much to enjoy at the house! We especially enjoyed the easy accessibility to water, outside fire pit, hanging out on the deck/dock, and beautiful sunsets. It was also easy to go and enjoy downtown because it was so close! We hope to stay there again next year! Also, the owners were VERY quick to respond and super helpful in helping us prepare for coming!

Great Laurie - Glad you all enjoyed your stay. Definitely come back any time!
We LOVED staying here. We had a big group (13) and this was PERFECT! Everyone had a really comfortable bed and we enjoyed staying in and hanging out. We went over New Years and loved the location. Not far from downtown, hiking, and lovely deck to hang out on.
The Chattanooga Tennessee River House was an amazing location for me and my girls to kick back and celebrate an upcoming wedding! There was TONS of space and the home offered everything we needed. It's close to downtown, even though you feel like you're a million miles away. Overall, I would book this place again in a heartbeat. You should too!
This place was wonderful! It comfortably fit our crowd, everything we needed was easy to find, and it was super easy to get back and forth from downtown Chattanooga and hiking. Plus, the views of the river were beautiful!
Our family of 16 (10 adults, 6 children) vacationed in Chattanooga over New Years weekend and had the good fortune of booking this location that was the perfect size to accommodate us! The listing description is very accurate and the owners are well organized and excellent communicators. The location is a short 10 minute drive North of downtown near the base of Signal Mountain. Check-in was scheduled for 4pm and we contacted the owners in advance to see if the house would be ready by noon as we were arriving early. Aaron was quick to respond and told us the place would already be cleaned and ready. This was a great way to start our trip! The property is very well maintained and clean. It has three floors with the main floor having a bedroom with two queen beds, a large kitchen, two dining areas, and a living room with a Smart TV and Blueray/DVD player. We were able to log into our Netflix account using the Smart TV. The upstairs has two bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, and the downstairs has three beds (perfect for a kids room), and a separate room with a fold out couch and a Foosball table. The weather was overcast and rainy for a lot of our stay so we purchased lots of firewood and watched movies and cooked meals. There is a large dock in the back as well as an outdoor fire pit, which we also used quite often when it wasn't raining. I would recommend this location to any large family (10-16 people) who is looking for a way to experience Chattanooga and have a quiet place to retire to at the end of the day. It is peaceful and private but is still very close to everything you need. Grocery, Wal-Mart, restaurants, etc... all within a 5 minute drive (don't miss Shuford's Smokehouse!). The owners operate www.stayandplaychattanooga.com, which includes this property and another one a few miles up the road. The only issue we encountered during our stay was the DVD player wasn't working and I only mention it because the owner (Aaron) was extremely responsive and personally delivered a replacement DVD player the same day. I have been partially responsible for a vacation rental in Florida over the years and I can tell you there is no greater feeling than the owners going out of their way to ensure you have the best possible experience.

Eric - We are glad you all had a great stay and thanks for the great review and comments!
We had 9 of us (4 adults and 5 kids) stay for a few days the week of Thanksgiving. We were very fortunate that they leaves still had great color and the abundance of windows on the back of the house especially was great for the awesome views. It's extremely spacious and seemed to have everything we needed.
Beautiful views, house is right on the river, great (big) TV, big/new gas grill, house could use a little more love (ex cobwebs, dirty windows) but it was spacious and loved being on the river. Dock needs fixing, amenities are sparse, needs more toilet paper and soap. Huge house. Sleeps about 18 in beds and in couches.
my family stayed here for Ironman Chattanooga 2016. The location cannot be more perfect; 8 min drive to the start and expo. Very quiet house, perfect for fishing, which by husband and son enjoyed. The house is in great condition and had more then enough space for us. My daughter enjoyed playing with the giant doll house we found downstairs. We tried to book this place for next year's Ironman but alas, too late. There were a few things that were not working, like the plug for the bathtub downstairs, and the jacuzzi did not work at all; a few light bulbs were out, but other that that everything was fantastic.
We loved staying at this Tennessee River House for a bachelorette party. The house is perfectly located where you feel like it's just you and the beautiful view of the mountains and river. However, downtown (and Wal-Mart) are just a short drive away! The owner was very accommodating and easy to communicate with prior to and during our stay! The house is very spacious and has PLENTY of room for a group. There were even floats in the garage for us to use while we floated in the river! We loved our stay and will definitely be back!
This was a wonderful and different experience as we usually go to the beach. Having the Tennessee River just outside the door was amazing! The kids loved fishing, swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding and the adults loved watching them. We went white water rafting, walked around downtown and went to the aquarium. The house was perfect. The location was perfect. It felt like you were miles away from civilization while you were actually close to everything. We are excited to go back as my kids voted this trip one of our best!

Sounds like you all did have fun! Glad you enjoyed the area and got to experience all Chattanooga has to offer.
We loved this place. We are a family of 12. Plenty of room. The Tennessee River is just steps away. Very peaceful here. A place to get away from it all. We fished from the dock, we caught catfish and bluegill. Kayaked every evening. Very light boat traffic during the week, we saw several barges passing through. I will be heading back here, just not in July. Fall months next time. Great place for the price. Beds were very comfortable. We had a problem with the disposal, called the owner, he was there in an hour, fixed the problem right away. Highly recommend.
Our multigenerational family of 13 spent the 4th of July weekend and had a very nice time. The bedrooms were set up so that each family group could have the privacy of their own room. The beds were comfortable, but it was a little warm upstairs and chilly downstairs. The main floor was just right! The cable and Internet worked fine. The cabin was clean and the area was quiet and private. The view was awesome and the kids enjoyed the river. The guys had fun fishing, to no avail I might add. It was close to groceries and sightseeing. We did not rent the kayak and paddle boards for $225, but most of the grandkids were little. We did use the fire pit. The cabin sleeps 16, but there aren't that many plates or chairs for the tables. All in all it was a quiet relaxing week end and we hope to come again.
We stayed here for the half Ironman and had an amazing experience. The scenery was breathtaking and so serene. It was ideal to be able to go into the backyard and practice the swim in the river. Kids loved the foosball table! Beds were super comfortable. Plenty of room for everyone!
This home was perfect for our annual 10-person Girl's Trip! The common areas were spacious enough to allow all of us to sit together comfortably - this is usually a problem for us. Other homes that we've rented tend to skimp on the LR/Den furniture. But that was not the case here. And the bedrooms provided ample space for our sleeping arrangements. The house was very easy to find with nice signage pointing you to the driveway. It's right off of the river so we had great views from back patio, kitchen and dining room. The best part was that we had "lake living" within minutes of shopping and restaurants. Everyone was very comfortable, found the house easy to locate and appreciated the nearby amenities. As the official Planner for our group, I was very pleased with the owner's responsiveness to all inquiries. I would definitely book again. In fact, some of the girls recommended that I pick this space for a future trip.
We had an amazing visit to this property to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday. Three families all had room and privacy to stay together without walking all over each other. We found plenty of great activities from hiking, to indoor rock climbing, to the aquarium, ruby falls, and look out mountain. All of which made us fall in love with the chatanooga area. We adored exploring the town of Signal Mountain and had the best meal of the trip at Shefords just down the road from this house.
First of all, the place is absolutely beautiful! The outside is stunning and the weather was perfect. The inside was incredible! It was the perfect place for my sister's relaxing bachelorette shower. We just wanted to get away for the weekend and spend it all together. We cooked, layed around, layed out, and had so much fun. We weren't too far from the mountains or down town so we got to do everything we wanted to. Thank you so much!
The location was perfect, secluded, yet close to the city allowing for all types of activities. Kids had a blast fishing, playing cornhole, and most importantly whipping the adults in foosball. We do intend on returning to this location and enjoying another long weekend or holiday.
This place was GREAT!! There was plenty of room for my wife and me, my parents, and 4 kids! It was right on the river and the renter provided the life vests, kayaks, and paddle boards! We didn't have to pay for any entertainment elsewhere and the kids just wanted to stay around the house and play in the water. Very fast internet allowed me to work out of the house and still have plenty of time to play with the kids. Thanks! Can't wait till our next stay.
We stayed here for a long weekend in September. This was a large family gathering, and everyone had a great time. The owners contacted us as soon as we arrived to make sure that we did not have any problems. We truly appreciated that they checked on us. We will definitely stay here again.
The property was Perfect for what we were needing for a ladies getaway. Convenient to downtown but very peaceful setting on Tenessee river. Nice rear deck with ample seating, open floorplan nice for groups. Basement layout a little strange but overall works well.
3 Softball Families stayed at the house..with lots of room!! The Home, is a work in progress and we hope to go back again. The owners addressed our needs and were very helpful with questions! The neighbor and people on the river were very friendly! Loved the river!! But, be sure to wear river shoes..we found broken glass washed in... We also picked up nails and screws in driveway! Overall..GREAT Stay!! Hope to go Back soon!!
I truly recommend this beautiful house , with amazing views and a very comftable place to stay and relax ! Very close to most of the attractions awesome place , The house has everything you need from cooking utensils to a awesome jaccuzi . Very recomendable !
Very satisfied we had five families sharing the house for a softball tournament. The house was beautiful and all of us enjoyed the river!! We did have some needs that the owners addressed immediately. The driveway does need the nails and screws picked up to prevent tire damage. (This is due to remodeling but a big magnet will do the job)
We met up with our children/grandchildren over the 4th holiday. We were very please with the home, spacious and open floor plan. The owners were very responsive to a couple of small request. Close to all the attractions. I would recommend staying at this house.
The owner was very accomodating and sent me all the information I needed on time. He answered all of my questions and did so in a timely manner. I would definitely rent through him again and recommend him to others as well. The cabin was nice and clean, there was strong WiFi Internet, and the TV was nice packed with HD channels. Best get away I've had in a long time.
